It also includes other primary resources, including data from the archives of the Archdiocese of Santa Fe, State of NM, Vatican Archives, and Notre Dame University.

I have been working on my ancestory and I alway knew that our family was related to Padre Martinez through my father Ernesto Varos’ mother, Teodorita Montano-Varos, my grandmother. My grandmother’s mother was Loreta Romero-Montano and her mother was Maria Soledad Romero the daughter of Padre Martinez and Dona Teodora Romero. I also have been handed down through the family an original picture of Padre Martinez. My grandmother’s sisters were Josefa Cantu, Lola Hopkins, and Dela Segura from Santa Fe.
